Ahead of the ‘Tirupati half marathon', scheduled to be held on September 17, the traffic police have released a notification indicating the traffic diversions and restrictions to facilitate free movement of vehicles and runners taking part in the marathon.
On September 16, from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m., vehicles reaching Tirupati from Chittoor, Bengaluru and Madanapalle would be diverted via Upparpalli cross near Thummalagunta and subsequently through Vaikuntapuram cross, Annamaya circle, Sankarambadi circle and Ramanuja circle to Poornakumbham junction.
APSRTC buses travelling to Chittoor and Bengaluru will follow the route: Poornakumbham junction – Ramanuja circle – Sankarambadi circle – Annamaya circle and through Ramachandrapuram cross. Other buses to Madanapalle will follow the same route except from Annamaya circle, they would traverse through West Church junction, Rallapalli circle, Upparpalli cross via Thummalagunta.
On September 17, from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m., vehicles will not be allowed in the following routes: Cherlopalli – Garuda circle via S.V. Zoological Park, Thummalagunta to Bajaji colony and Balaji colony to Garuda circle via Town Club.
