The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) announced today that Latin America and Caribbean airlines carried 23.2 million passengers in July, up 6.1% - or 1,330,000 more passengers - from the previous year.  Traffic (RPK) grew 11.6% and capacity (ASK) increased 10.9%, bringing up the load factor to 85.4%, 0.6 percentage points higher than in July 2016.   (see table 1).

Traffic to/from Latin America & Caribbean
 

Latin America and Caribbean airlines carried 2.4 million passengers to and from Latin America and the Caribbean in July, up 11.9% from the previous year (see table 2). Traffic (RPK) grew 12.9% and capacity (ASK) increased 14.2%, bringing the load factor to 87.6%, equivalent to 1 percentage points lower than in July 2016.
