Telangana Finance Minister Eatala Rajender has been made a member of a Group of Ministers constituted by the Goods and Services Tax Council.
The GoM has been constituted to monitor and resolve the IT challenges faced in the implementation of the GST. The other members of the five-member group headed by Bihar deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi as convenor are: Chhattisgarh Commercial Taxes Minister Amar Agarwal, Karnataka Agriculture Minister Krishna Byregowda and Kerala Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac.
The GoM had received the approval of GST council chairman and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and it would be assisted in its work by GST network chairman A.B. Pandey and Goods and Services Tax network Chief Executive Officer Prakash Kumar, according to a circular issued by the GST Council.
