KOCHI: The organisational restructuring at Dubai Holding and the resultant changes in the SmartCity Kochi management may have taken place as early as July this year though news of it emerged only recently. A mail sent out by Khalid Almalik, the Chief Real Estate Officer of Dubai Holding, after he was appointed as the interim CEO of SmartCity Kochi, to the team in Kochi on the changes on July 17 points to that.
“... Dubai Holding will play an active role in the management and strategic growth of SmartCity’s Projects, and your continued support is critical in delivering the full potential of SmartCity Kochi’s value to our customers, business partners, investors and the State of Kerala,” the mail sourced by The Hindu read.
Mr. Almalik informs the team that he has been “appointed by Dubai Holding to lead and oversee SmartCity Projects across Kochi and Malta, and will be acting as the interim CEO of SmartCity Kochi.” The mail further said Mr. George would be leaving the company and thanked him for his leadership in the evolution of both SmartCity Dubai and SmartCity Kochi.
