The Visakhapatnam Region of AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will operate special buses from Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru to Visakhapatnam to cater to the Dasara festival rush and in the return direction after the festival.
A total of four special buses, one AC, two Super Luxury (SL) buses, and one Ultra Deluxe bus will be operated from Hyderabad to Vizag via Vijayawada on Sept 26. On the next day (Sept 27) five buses (two SL and three Ultra Deluxe) would be operated from Hyderabad to Vizag and one SL bus each from Chennai and Bengaluru to Vizag, according to Regional Manager G. Sudesh Kumar.
On Sept 28, a total of 15 special buses would be operated from Hyderabad to Vizag. These include: three AC buses, six SL buses and six Ultra Deluxe buses. All the buses would leave in the evenings and reach Visakhapatnam city by the next morning.
Return services
A total of four buses will be available to Hyderabad and five buses to Vijayawada on Oct 1, 12 buses to Hyderabad, 10 to Vijayawada and one each to Bengaluru and Chennai on Oct 2 and four buses to Hyderabad, five to Vijayawada and one each to Bengaluru and Chennai would be available on Oct 3 and two buses to Hyderabad and four to Vijayawada would be available on Oct 4.
One special bus would be available to Amalapuram and Narsapur in the return trip on all four days. Apart from these, around 100 special buses would be operated from Vizag to Srikakulam, Narasannapeta, Tekkali, Sompeta, Palakonda, Parvathipuram, Palasa and other towns to cater to the holiday rush.
