The Goa unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday demanded that the State government provide security to Minister for Water Resources Vinod Paliekar, who took on the drug mafia in his constituency, Siolim.
The Minister had claimed that he sensed a threat to his life and was scared of going out for a morning walk. Ashley do Rosario, Goa spokesperson of AAP, demanded that the government open an investigation into the threats received by the Minister following his recent outbursts against the rampant drug mafia in Siolim.
Mr. Rosario said, “If a Minister feels threatened, then what will be the fate of ordinary citizens of Goa? Mr. Palyekar should be provided the highest personal security.”
