Oppo A71 Launched In India; Will It Stand Against Its Competitors?

Chinese smartphone company Oppo on Tuesday (12 September) launched its new smartphone Oppo A71 in India. Priced at Rs 12,990, the handset is available on Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, and offline retail stores. Oppo A71 comes in gold and black colours.

Oppo A71 runs on Color 3.1 OS based on Android 7.1 Nougat. It is powered by 1.5GHz MediaTek MT 6750 Octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM. It has 16GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB through a MicroSD card.

Oppo A71 features a 5.2-inch HD (1280x720) TFT display. It sports a 13-megapixels rear camera with f/2.2 and LED flash. On the front is a 5-megapixels selfie-shooter with f/2.4 aperture.

The dual-SIM (nano+nano) smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh battery. There is no fingerprint scanner on the device; users will have to unlock it through pin or pattern. It measures 148.1 x 73.8 x 7.6mm and weighs 137 grams.

Connectivity options are – Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB, 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm audio-jack, and GPS. Given the specs, the phone is fairly expensive when compared to its competitors such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Lenovo K8 Note, and Lenovo K8 Plus among others.
