Bengaluru Police have arrested a man who falsely claimed that bombs had been planted at Nehru planetarium, and on the premises of the Karnataka legislature - or Vidhana Soudha.

The man, Sridhar, tried to fool police into believing that two other men to whom he'd promised government jobs, were planning to set off the bombs.

He'd swindled one of them - Suresh - out of Rs 60,000. It wasn't the first time. A native of Karnataka's Mandya, Sridhar had cheated many people in a similar way.

When Suresh didn't get the job he'd been promised, he decided to force Sridhar to return his money. Nagaraj, his friend and fellow victim, went with him.

That's when Sridhar came up with the idea to tell police there were planting bombs.

But unfortunately for him, Vidhana Soudha police were able to trace his call, and arrest him.
