Japan PM Shinzo Abe To Arrive In Ahmadabad Today: All You Need To Know About His Visit

At the invitation of PM Narendra Modi, Japan PM Shinzo Abe will arrive in Ahemdabad today at 3:30 pm IST. Abe will be in India for two days September 13-14 during which the leaders will hold the 12th India-Japan Annual Summit in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

This will be the fourth Annual Summit between PM Modi and his Japanese counterpart Abe. The two leaders will review the recent progress in multi-faceted cooperation between India and Japan under the framework of their Special Strategic and global Partnership and will set its future direction. and flag of PM Modi’s ambitious Ahemdabad-Mumbai rail project.

Meanwhile, India is ready and set to welcome Abe indicating a strong relationship-partnership between the two countries.

Modi has been actively posting welcome messages for hosting his Japanese counterpart since yesterday.

“I look forward to welcoming PM Abe Shinzo I will be hosting him in Gujarat in our fourth annual summit together”, PM Modi posted on his twitter account. 

“PM Abe Shinzo and I will attend a wide range of programmes on 13th and 14th September 2017, aimed at further boosting India-Japan ties.” PM tweeted.

PM @AbeShinzo & I will attend the programme to mark the start of work of India’s first high-speed rail project between Ahmedabad & Mumbai.

The groundbreaking ceremony (Bhoomi-pujan) for the project, coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 98,000 crore, will be held at a site near the Sabarmati railway station in the city. It will officially mark the flag off of the PM’s dream project.

PM Shinzo is all set to arrive in Ahemdabad today  at 3:30 at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad.

He will be visiting Sabarmati Ashram at 4:30 along with PM Modi, followed by a visit to Visit to Siddi Sayyaid ki Jaali.

PM Modi and his Japanese counterpart will flag off the start of work of India’s first high speed rail project between India and Mumbai at 9:50 AM tomorrow at Athletic Stadium, Near Sabarmati Railway Station.

Shinzo will visit Dandi Kutir at 11:30 followed by delegation level talks at 12:05.

At 1 Pm there will be an exchange of agreements and press statements by the two PM’s.

At 4 PM Abe will engage in India-Japan Business Plenary and will leave for Tokyo at 9:35.

As of 2013, bilateral trade between India and Japan stood at US$16.31 billion and is expected to reach US$50 billion by 2019-20.
