Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Wednesday spoke to Haryana Chief Minister M.L. Khattar requesting him to ensure justice for the brutal murder of Pradyuman at the Ryan international School in Gurugram.
Mr. Paswan visited the deceased boy’s residence in Maruti Kunj area and met his father Barun Thakur. The family hails from Bihar. Addressing a press conference later, Mr. Paswan said schools should have adequate security measures in place.
“I have spoken to Haryan Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar who has assured me that if the family is not happy with the Gurugram police's probe within a week, the case would be handed over to the CBI,” he told reporters.
Mr. Paswan said that Mr. Thakur told him that school management and its top officers should also be held accountable for the crime.
