The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between India and Armenia on cooperation in disaster management.
"The MoU will enhance cooperation in disaster management through exchange of information in fields of mutual interest," an official statement said.
The MoU seeks to put in place a system wherein both India and Armenia would benefit from disaster management mechanisms in the other country and help strengthen preparedness, response and capacity-building in disaster management.
