Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Refined soya prices were up by 0.36 per cent to Rs 669.40 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators built up fresh positions amid pick up in domestic demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya for delivery in October moved up by Rs 2.40, or 0.36 per cent to Rs 669.40 per 10 kg with an open interest of 48,570 lots.

On similar lines, the for delivery in September contracts edged up by 60 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 660 per 10 kg in 10,470 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to upsurge in demand in physical market against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly led to rise in refined soya prices at futures trade.
