Mumbai: Mumbai University on Monday said results of only eight of the 477 exams are left to be processed and will be announced soon. A total of 57,099 students are yet to receive their results.
Addressing a press conference, acting Vice-Chancellor Devanand Shinde said the university had declared 180 results till August 10, and 469 till September 10, handing over results to 3,95,790 students.
The press conference was also attended by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dhiren Patel; Arjun Ghotale, director of the examination and generation committee; B.P. Patil, the director of examination and generation committee, Solapur University; Anil Patil, the director of legislative committee; special executive officer Vinayak Dalvi; and registrar Deepak Vasave.
The university also announced that a committee had been set up to negotiate with universities abroad to ensure that students who have applied there do not suffer. The university has received 22,275 requests for re-evaluation. Of these, 510 are from Arts students, 712 from Commerce students, 2,109 in the Science stream and 16,664 from Engineering students. “Re-evaluation results shall be declared soon,” Dr. Ghotale said. The university has also received 4,920 requests for photocopies of mark sheets.
The timetable for the second session exams was also announced. The BA and BSc fifth semester exams will start on November 8, while the BA sixth semester will start on November 22. The BSc sixth semester exam will be held from November 27. The BCom fifth semester exam will start on November 20, and sixth semester on November 15.
