September 12, 2017:
The Reserve Bank of India today notified that foreign portfolio investors can invest up to 50 per cent of the paid-up capital in Capital First Ltd, under the portfolio investment scheme, against 24 per cent earlier. Consequently, the ban on foreign portfolio investors and foreign institutional investors purchasing shares of Capital First has been withdrawn with immediate effect, the RBI added. Shares of Capital First will remain in focus.
