Tell us a bit about your latest collection...

My latest collection is dedicated to Dasara. Elephants are a big part of the collection and I have highlighted the elephant procession too. I have kept the colours light and emphasised on embroidery. Keeping in mind the needs of the youngsters, I have created outfits with cold-shoulders and ponchos.

The most stylish celebrity that you have come across...

Raveena Tandon. She is down-to-earth and very graceful.

Anything you want to change about the fashion industry...

The mindset of the people about fashion shows. I want to show that fashion can be healthy too. Also, most designers work on outfits that are not wearable at all. I believe one should keep in mind that the outfits shown on the ramp are practical and is possible for common people to wear them too.

Five must-have fashion essentials for Monsoon...
Kajal, a stole, a pair of comfortable footwear like Crocs, bright coloured lipstick and a good moisturiser.

How do you usually spend your time when you are not working?
I have been extremely busy of late, so I catch up on all the sleep I have lost. (laughs)

A piece of advice for young designers...

Keep your word and be disciplined about your passion. This will take you places.
