MADURAI
The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Tuesday directed the Coordinator of Joint Action Committee of Tamil Nadu Teachers’ Organisations-Government Employees’ Associations (JACTTO-GEO) and presidents of Tamil Nadu Government Employees’ Association, Tamil Nadu Postgraduate Teachers’ Association and Tamil Nadu Primary School Teachers’ Organisation to appear before it on Friday.
Hearing a contempt petition, a division bench of Justices K.K. Sasidharan and G.R. Swaminathan directed the Police Commissioner, Chennai, to send notices to the respondents. The contempt petition was filed before the Bench on September 11 against the respondents for violation of the court’s order staying the JACTTO-GEO strike.
