Pakistan vs World XI, PAK vs WXI T20: Pakistan beat World XI by 20 runs to lead three-match series 1-0. Boosted by Babar Azam’s 86, Pakistan posted a strong 197 runs after being put in to bat by World XI captain Faf du Plessis. None of the World XI batsmen could stay in the middle for long as they kept falling at regular intervals. Hashim Amla, Tim Paine, Faf du Plessis and Darren Sammy all reached 20s but couldn’t go beyond that and help the team in chase of the large total. Sohail Khan, Rumman Raees and Shadab Khan picked up two wickets each to chip away and arrest any development that the World XI made. Earlier, Pakistan enjoyed a 122 run stand courtesy Azam and Ahmed Shehzad for the second wicket. Shoaib Malik too added some pivotal runs to further the score. The win gives Pakistan a 1-0 series lead with the second T20I to be played on Wednesday in Lahore.
