Myntra expects 5-fold jump in sales during Flipkart's BigBillionDays sale

Five-day sale which kicks off on September 20 will see the participation of Myntra and its subsidiary Jabong

Flipkart-owned online fashion retailer is expecting to sell three million products — a five-time increase in sales as compared to a normal day — during the parent firm’s upcoming BigBillionDays (BBD) festive  

The five-day sale, which kicks off on September 20, will see participation from and its subsidiary The contribution of both brands will be crucial for to try and stay ahead of rival Amazon, as online fashion has become a big driver of sales.

“We are participating in Flipkart’s BigBillionDays for third year in a row and are expecting a five times growth in sales. We are offering our customers the season’s latest collection at attractive prices, making it an event that cannot be given a miss. We are expecting to sell three million products over the five-day sale,” said Naresh Krishnaswamy, chief revenue officer at

Flipkart, which introduced the concept of an annual festive in India four years ago, expects to see a three-time increase in sales compared to last year. The has helped fend off an attack from last year. But, the threat continues to loom.
