It was an evening which film actor Poonam Kaur will remember forever. By her own confession, a huge fan of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, she was one of the special invitees for the inaugural of the Indian Open Snooker world-ranking tournament here on Monday.
After presenting a specially designed handicrafts memento to Mr. Naidu for helping students like her by setting up the international standard National Institute of Fashion Technology and the NALSAR University in Hyderabad which showed them a way to make a mark in their select fields, she was in for a pleasant surprise as the event was getting over. Then, the Chief Minister announced that Poonam would be involved in promotion of handloom in the State by naming her as the Brand Ambassador for handloom.
