With an aim to enhance the reach of Tirukkural, UV Foundation has launched ‘Ullamthorum Valluvam’, an initiative to spread the teachings of Tiruvalluvar.
Swami Omkarananda, after launching it, said the idea of such an initiative had been in his mind for over a decade. “I had a desire to read the Tirukkural even when I was a child. Later, I was able to elaborate on it and present it to people,” he said.
As part of this initiative, those interested can register on a WhatsApp number (8111011118) after which they will receive a five minute video on Swami Omakarananda’s explanations of the verses. The foundation aims at reaching out to at least one lakh people through the attempt.
A book titled ‘Vaan Sirappu’ was releasedon the occasion by Swami Omkarananda.
