A 25-year-old woman allegedly hanged herself from a tree near her house in Vasant Kunj on Sunday.
Her body was spotted in the early hours of the day by a morning walker, who informed the police.
The woman was identified as Phool Mani Devi. The police said she lived with her husband and had left home after a fight with him. No suicide note was found and the police are trying to ascertain the reason behind the alleged suicide.
Her husband and other relatives told the police that she had left the house around 10.30 p.m., after an argument with him over an issue. She has two sons, aged eight and four years. Prima facie, the police have ruled out foul play.
