Shahid Khaqan Abbasi becomes 'first' Pak PM to fly F-16 Fighter Jet

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi became Pakistan's first-ever Prime Minister to participate in an air force sortie.

Abbasi, yesterday visited the newly established Airpower Center of Excellence (ACE) at an operational air base of the Air Force (PAF). He also flew an exercise training mission in an F-16 fighter aircraft, belonging to the No 9 Squadron.

Abbasi was briefed by Air Chief Sohail Aman on the ongoing exercise 'Saffron Bandit' and was informed that the first-ever multinational exercise will be held in October and would have participation from personnel from 19 air forces.
