In a bizarre news, a bus conductor who works with the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation was issued a memorandum by the police. The reason? He let a pigeon perch on the window, without a ticket.

The strange incident has put the conductors of buses in a panic mode. They are keeping an eye to make sure no birds travel without a ticket.

According to a report in Times Of India, the government bus was going to Ellavadi, a remote tribal village in Tamil Nadu, when the cops stopped the bus for an inspection. The cops found that a drunk passenger was "having a conversation" with the pigeon.

The inspector then issued a memo to the conductor for not ticketing the pigeon.

A senior TNSTC official told ToI that "appropriate action" will be taken if any rule was broken.
