Nishan Sashidhar, a Mangalorean, has found a place in the Asia book of Records as well as India book of Records after he interviewed 101 doctors, covering 100 topics in 10 hours.
Nishan told reporters here on Saturday that the event was organised by Manipal Hospitals in Bengaluru on July 20 with an intention to create awareness about the symptoms related to various chronic diseases like heart attacks, liver transplant, high blood pressure etc.
Nishan, who regularly hosts Manipal Hospital Bengaluru’s 'Health Vibes', a health awareness Facebook live chat show, said that he has already completed more than 40 episodes with 2 million views on Manipal Hospital Bengaluru Facebook page. He said that the July 20 programme was the lengthiest Facebook video live discussion on health in a social media platform in the world and about 8 lakh views were registered on a single day.
In reply to a query, he said that he planned the event with an intention to create awareness about various health disorders and the symptoms related to it because knowing the symptoms and consulting a doctor at the right time can save many lives.
In reply to another query on 101 doctors and 100 subjects, he said that one topic spoken by a doctor (Medical Ethics) was not considered for the record as he did not speak about medicine.
