A Division Bench of the Hyderabad High Court comprising Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy and Justice MSK Jaiswal on Friday said that the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should sit down and take a decision regarding the fate of 1,242 employees of various power utilities who have been relieved from Telanagana and asked to report in Andhra Pradesh.

The Bench was dealing with cases filed by these employees who are relieved by Telangana but are not welcomed in Andhra Pradesh. After several rounds of litigation, orders have been passed that they shall be paid salary. Now all of them are given salary but no work is extracted from them. The cases have been placed before the specially constituted Bench to deal with this sensitive matter. The Bench asked both the Advocates-General to find a way out by having wide ranging discussions. The case has been adjourned to September 22.
