Actor Matt Damon has come onboard to exec-produce a survival comedy series, "The Green Beret's Guide to Surviving the Apocalypse".
The 46-year-old actor will back the venture, which has been ordered by Netflix, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The unscripted series is described an anthology that is a blend of humour and usable survival skills.
Each episode narrates the story of its own contained apocalypse that the show's hero somehow manages to survive.
Military veterans Shawn Vance, a former U S Special Forces Green Beret and Daril Fanin, an ex-combat medic in the U S Army will star and also serve as executive producers on the show.
The show is set for an eight-episode first season.
