Angad Vir Singh Bajwa spoilt his chances with two rounds of 22 but was the best among Indian skeet shooters, as he placed 24th with a total of 119, in a strong field of 113 in the Shotgun World Championship here on Saturday.
Olympian Mairaj Ahmad Khan did well to lift his fortunes with rounds of 24 and 25 on the third day of skeet competition. He had a series of 24, 21, 23, 24, 25, for a total of 117 that placed him 42nd.
Sheeraz Sheikh also ended up with a total of 117, following rounds of 21, 24, 24, 24, 24.
In junior men’s skeet, Anant Jeet Singh Naruka came up with two rounds of 24 to reach a total of 114 that placed him 22nd in a field of 56. Hamza Sheikh (112) and Arjun Singh Mann (110) finished 29th and 38th.
