The forest cell of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) formed 21 teams on Saturday to clear uprooted trees across the city due to heavy rain on Friday.
Since most of the uprooted trees were huge, it was difficult for workers to remove all of them in one day.
A tree which fell on the house of one Venkat Gurunath near the KR Market Metro station could not be removed since it was too huge.
Gurunath said, “There were not enough people to cut the tree. They said they will clear the tree by Sunday.”
