A five-year-old kindergarten girl died after coming under the wheels of her school bus in Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad, on Saturday.
The victim, Saumya, was getting down from the bus when the driver allegedly accelerated the bus and the child’s head came under a tyre. The incident happened around 2 p.m.
Neeraj Kumar Singh, SHO, Kavi Nagar police station, said that a case for rash driving and causing death by negligence has been registered against the driver and the bus conductor. "Both have been arrested.
The police said that the girl’s grandmother had come to receive her when the incident happened.
