Parts of Hassan and Tumakuru districts experienced heavy showers on Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

Several houses were damaged and a woman suffered injuries in the heavy downpour that pounded Hassan district on Saturday.

Rainwater entered several houses in Hassan city and many roads were waterlogged following the downpour.

In Hunsur, Mysuru district, eight electricity poles were damaged due to the rain on Friday night.

Tumakuru city received heavy rain for over two hours on Saturday afternoon. The showers left the low-lying areas inundated, causing hardships to the people.

Tiptur town and parts of the taluk recorded heavy rain on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Tiptur has recorded 6.9 cm of rain while Nonavinakere has experienced 5.4 cm, sources in taluk administration said.

Sira taluk too recorded incessant rain on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Many streams in Kallamballa and surrounding areas are flowing in spate.

Moderate to heavy rain continued to lash various parts of Shivamogga district on Saturday.
Shivamogga city received good spell of rain in the evening for about 30 minutes. Two-wheelers parked on roadside at Gopala layout were damaged when a huge tree fell on them.

Several roads in the city were waterlogged. Bhadravathi also received good rain. Hosanagar, Thirthahalli, Shikaripur and Sagar received moderate rain. Most parts of the district witnessed cloudy weather throughout the day. Water level in Linganamakki dam rose to 1795.15 feet against maximum level of 1819 feet. The inflow was 5048 cusecs.

Kudalasangama and surrounding villages in Hungund taluk of Bagalkot district recorded heavy rain for two hours on Friday night. The region also received light to moderate showers on Saturday afternoon.

Gokak and Bailhongal taluk in Belagavi district received mild showers for brief time on Saturday.

Gokak town and surrounding villages and Ghataprabha in Gokak taluk received rain for about 15 minutes, while Bailhongal received rain for about 30 minutes.

Haveri town witnessed moderate to heavy rain on Saturday evening.
