Saraswat Co-operative Bank has declared a special dividend of 15 per cent for fiscal 2016-17 in view of the bank entering its centenary year on September 14, 2017. This dividend declaration by the bank, which is India’s largest urban co-operative bank, is over and above the 15 per cent dividend on equity shares for the year ended March 31, 2017. In FY17, the bank’s deposits rose 7 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) to ₹33,737 crore and advances nudged up 6 per cent y-o-y to ₹21,536 crore. The bank has 282 branches across six States.
