The Department of Physics, Pondicherry University will hold a four-day International conference on “Solid Electrolytes for Advanced Applications: Garnets and Competitors” here from September 6.
According to a press release, University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anisa Basheer Khan will inaugurate the conference. Scientists from U.S., Japan, Spain, Canada, France, Germany, China, Singapore, Korea and Russia will be participating in the conference.
The conference will deliberate on all aspects of science, technology and applications of lithium garnets for energy storage applications.
Prominent automobile industries from across the world, namely Toyota, Nissan and research laboratories namely Applied Materials, U.S. and SAMSUNG, Korea pursuing for a break-through in such technology will also participate.
The Energy Society of India will felicitate Prof. Werner Weppner, Faculty of Engineering, University of Kiel, Germany for his outstanding contribution to the field of solid state ionics during the conference.
