Cong stages walk out from Assam Assembly

The opposition today staged a walk out from the Assembly protesting against the Speaker disallowing an adjournment motion to discuss the issue of Rohingya refugees.

Sherman Ali Ahmed sought adjournment of the other business of the House to discuss the Rohingya refugees issue in the neighbouring country.


When Speaker Hiten Goswami disallowed Ahmed's motion another legislator Abdul Khaleque from the got up stating the party supported Sherman's motion and as it was not allowed the party was staging a walkout in protest.
