Drop in temperature brings relief to citizens

The city roads turned into pools following a heavy rainfall on Tuesday evening. People leaving to home from offices, schools and colleges had a tough time riding through the thoroughfares that quickly accumulated water. Major roads and areas, including M.G. Road, Pinnamaneni Polyclinic Road, Moghalrajpuram, Autonagar, Patamata, Currency Nagar, One-town and others got inundated after the rainfall and it took more than an hour for the clogged up drainage system to draw back the storm water.

Meanwhile, the rainfall and lowering of temperature came as a relief to the citizens who have been suffering hot weather since the past several days. The maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 35° Celsius, which is two degrees higher than the normal temperature. Also, the relative humidity in the city was 94% on Tuesday.
