Three college friends Sridhar, Vikram and Sunil were on a futile quest for the right office space for their startup in 2013.. Spaces and More was born out of their desperate need and struggle. The three knew what it takes for an office space to stand out in terms of interior decor and the infrastructure and how it contributes to work output. Being one of the first movers in the dedicated office spaces category, Spaces and More grabbed eyeballs quickly. They picked spaces at locations that had been rejected by many, often deemed unsuitable for companies then. Now, their Gachibowli office space houses a diverse mix of elite, mid-range and emerging firms.
Having an in-house architect has helped differentiate one space from the other and the focus on design isn’t ensured by its modern furniture alone. The modular setup ensures design-flexibility from time-to-time, especially to clients who are vaastu-inclined. The colours are equally industrial and contemporary — from yellow, orange to lemon green, which add a glow with the natural light seeping in through the glass. “We often take inputs from our clients on colours, so that it matches their branding and logos, so their identity is reflected through the design too,” the founders say. The conference rooms, compact meeting areas, collaborative spaces and quirky reception segment bear a unique spatial language too.
Spaces and More is environment conscious, they were among the earliest office spaces to switch to CFLs and LEDS long before their counterparts woke up to them. Their canteens on one side of the terrace are simple, the view contributing to the vibe of the space. Being open to new ideas from various quarters, adapting themselves to the latest trends right from the co-working space boom in 2014, all helped their business. The companies under Space and More also get additional member benefits including help with pay-rolls, on-site managers, infrastructure support and HR services. Being local players with hands-on founders, they have managed to retain their client base over the years.
