A couple was arrested for allegedly looting gold ornaments and around Rs one lakh cash from a neighbour's house at Chikiti in Ganjam district, police said today.
Police recovered around 300 grams of ornaments and Rs 60,000 cash from the couple after arresting the duo yesterday.
In his FIR lodged on August 29, Priyadarshi Mohanty, a teacher, said he had handed over key of his house to the accused couple before going to Bhubaneswar about a week ago and came to know about the loot on his return.
