Mahila Chetana hails SC verdict

All the 13 Greyhounds policemen, who were accused in the Vakapalli rape case, should be immediately arrested and the orders of the Supreme Court should be implemented immediately, demanded Mahila Chetana leaders K. Padma and C.R. Kumari.

Addressing a media conference here on Saturday, they alleged 11 tribal women were raped by the Greyhounds policemen at Vakapalli on August 20, 2007.

They alleged that the police, government and the CB CID had watered down the case during the last 10 years forcing the victims to approach the court.

The Supreme Court ordering a speedy trial in the case reaffirming the faith of the people in the judiciary, they said.
