Three men were arrested and a juvenile was apprehended for their alleged involvement in robberies and killings in east Delhi, the police said today.
In February last year, a man was killed at Sanjay Jheel and in November, a person was robbed and killed near Ghazipur flyover. This year in July, a man was robbed and killed near Mandawali railway track, they said.
Upon receiving an information on Thursday about the accused in the above cases being present around Sanjay Jheel, three persons were arrested from the spot, the police said.
The accused have been identified as Sanjay (22), Rohit (22) and Badal (19), Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Omvir Singh said, adding, a juvenile was also apprehended.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that they killed the gardener of Sanjay Jheel since he was posing as a hindrance to their criminal activities, the officer said.
"They would first choke their victims and rob then of mobile phones, cash and other belongings. If the victims resisted, the accused used to stab them," the DCP said.
