Asserting that being a responsible party, the Jana Sena is not intent on politicising issues of public interest just for the sake of extracting electoral mileage, its president Pawan Kalyan refused to hazard a guess on how many seats it would contest in 2019 by saying that winning elections was not his sole aim.
Addressing members of the JSP’s social media team in Hyderabad on Friday, Mr. Kalyan said the party would be able to gauge its strength in 2018 and it was working on a plethora of problems faced by the people.
He stated that the TDP and YSR Congress Party’s claims to have their own compulsions for not raising their voice in Parliament on diverse issues, including the Special Category Status, were justifiable only to some extent. JSP was against irritating them as its basic objective was to find solutions, not indulge in usual game of mud-slinging, he affirmed.
Digital blitz
Mr. Pawan Kalyan also launched the party’s ‘digital regiment’ called the ‘Sathaghni’.
The aim was to put across its views to the people on a variety of contemporary issues through social media platforms spearheaded by a trained 50-member group.
The concept was to propagate the ideologies of the JSP through digital media with the active involvement of intellectuals, fans of Mr. Pawan Kalyan and others committed to the cause of realising the party’s goal, which was to serve the masses. Mr. Pawan Kalyan said due priority had been given to organising the digital promotional campaign on a large scale ahead of his entry into active politics next month.
Sathaghni will highlight the issues of public interest which Mr. Pawan Kalyan has harped on since the party’s inception, to get them resolved.
