Naidu likely to lay stone for aircraft museum on September 27

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to lay foundation for the work on TU-142 aircraft museum on September 27, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has said.

The HRD Minister launched the online building plan approval process of VUDA on Thursday and held a review meeting with officials. He handed over the first online approval to B R K Chaitanya of Vizianagaram.

Of the 24 Master Plan Roads identified by VUDA, seven would be developed at a cost of ₹ 225.84 crore. They are: Pedamushidivada to Trijunction, Lankelapalem Junction to Nakkapalem on Sabbavaram Road, Visakha Valley School to Beach Road, Rushikonda Satellite layout to Beach Road, Duvvada Railway Station to Kurmannapalem Arch, Vepagunta to Pinagadi Junction, Adavivaram Junction to Sontyam and Bhimili Junction to Tagarapuvalasa Junction.

On housing, the Minister said 25 acres at Endada and 32 acres at Kapuluppada had been identified to construct model satellite townships. Plans are also on the anvil for various projects at Gambhiram, Gudilova, Malkapuram and Peda Gantyada in 1262 acres with ₹ 3332 crore.

He said the draw of lots for LIG plots at VUDA’s joint venture layout "Fortune Hills" at Dakamarri for which applications had already been received would be conducted on October 7.

NAD flyover

VUDA Vice-Chairman P Basanth Kumar said the technical evaluation of the bids received for a flyover at NAD Kotha Road would be completed in a week after which financial bids would be opened. One of the bidders had offered to invest ₹100 crore towards research and development in the flyover.
