JAMMU: A jawan of Border Security Force attained martyrdom after he was hit by a sniper fire from across the border on the Line of Control in Poonch district.
”BSF ASI Kamaljit Singh at around 1745 hours sustained bullet injuries due to enemy fire initiated from across the Line of Control while he was deployed at a forward post in Krishna Ghati Sector,” official spokesman here said.
He said that the injured ASI was provided immediate first aid and evacuated from the post but unfortunately succumbed to the injuries. (AGENCIES)
