Gursimar unstoppable

Doing it again: Gursimar Badwal emerged champion for the second straight week.

Gursimar Badwal bagged her second successive title in as many weeks, winning the Hero-KGA women’s pro golf championship here on Friday.

The 25-year-old, who was two-over through the first six holes, completed a final day’s card of one-under 71 to finish her 54 holes in three-over 219 and triumph by three shots over amateur Pranavi Urs (70).

Siddhi Kapoor (69), who had the day’s best card, zoomed up from overnight 11th to finish third at 224.

Gursimar’s two titles ties her with Amandeep Drall while Vani Kapoor, who skipped this week’s event, has won three.

Final results (top five): 219: Gursimar Badwal (76, 72, 71); 222: Pranavi Urs (A) (77, 75, 70); 224: Siddhi Kapoor (78, 77, 69); 225: Trisha Sunil (75, 78, 72); 225: Tanirika Singh (A) (79, 70, 76); 226: Gaurika Bishnoi (78, 76, 72); 226: Gurbani Singh (A) (76, 74, 76).
