TS BC Sankshema Sangham threatens struggle

Telangana BC Sankshema Sangham, here on Thursday, strongly condemned the imposition of creamy layer condition in the implementation of the OBC reservations in education and employment.

At a press conference here, the Sangham leaders wanted to know as to why the creamy layer should be applied only to the OBC reservations when as many as 16 kinds of reservations were there in the country. They described the move as a plan to scuttle the OBC reservations brought about 25 years ago.

The Sangham district president Narala Sudhakar said that it was very objectionable, condemnable and unjustified to remove reservations for those BCs whose income was ₹ 8 lakh and above per annum.

Demanding that the Centre remove the creamy layer condition, another leader B. Anjaneyulu said that if the government failed to do so, all the BCs would launch a relentless struggle.

Other leaders P. Lakshminarayana and Revanth also spoke.

Round table meet

They said that a round table conference would be organised on the creamy layer issue at the Government ITI premises on Saturday.
