Traffic interceptors, motorbikes to check reckless driving

In an effort to strengthen security of senior citizens and check reckless driving, Chief Minister today flagged off four traffic interceptor vehicles and 35 motorcycles for patrolling.

Patnaik also distributed smart phones to Nodal and Assistant Nodal officers of different Senior Citizen Security Cell in different police stations at a function held at the Commissionrate of Police headquarters here.


The four interceptors will be provided to Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Berhampur and Sambalpur cells of police to keep a tab on reckless driving.

"The Commissionerate of police has also planned to launch a senior citizens app soon, where the elderly people can register complaints online," said Commissioner of Police Y B Khurania.
