GHMC Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy on Tuesday extended the deadline given to the Lodha Developers by 15 more days, to come up with an explanation on the grievances of the residents of the Lodha Meridian and Lodha Bellezza towers at Kukatpally.
At a hearing held in his chambers with the developer as well as the representatives of both the luxury residential towers, Mr. Reddy has asked for a report on the provision of parking, open space and other amenities within a fortnight.
Earlier, on August 19, the Commissioner had asked the builder to come up with the report in 10 days, which was not fulfilled by the latter.
It may be recalled that the Lodha Meridian residents had held a protest demonstration complaining that the amenities promised at the time of the sale have not been provided by the builder. Acting upon their complaints, the GHMC authorities had inspected the site, and noticed that the layout submitted to GHMC was not adhered to by the builder who had developed two ventures in the place of one approved.
They ordered for demolition of wall between both the ventures, and provide parking to the residents. However, Lodha Bellezza residents went up in arms against the decision as such a decision intruded into their privacy as promised by the builder.
