The Chief Officer of Town Municipal Council (TMC) of Chintamani in Chickballapur district has been suspended on charges of sexual harassment.
The Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) issued an order in this connection on Monday.
A woman employee of the TMC filed a complaint alleging sexual harassment by the chief officer B.N. Muniswamy. The Additional Deputy Commissioner had submitted a report to the government on the issue, following which the DMA issued the order suspending Mr. Muniswamy.
