Tata Steel organised its first regional ‘Samvaad 2017’ in Wayanad, Kerala. The two-day event, a run-up to the company’s tribal conclave Samvaad — held every November in Jamshedpur — covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. The event was based on the theme ‘Aspirations of Tribal Youth and Leadership for Future.’ Conceived by Tata Steel, the event was held in association with the MS Swaminathan Research Foundation. The effort seeks to address the problems faced by tribals in agriculture, food and nutrition.
