Man hacked to death

A 21-year-old man was hacked to death after a fight broke out during Ganesh Chathurti celebrations at Hanumanthnagar on Sunday night.

Around 7.30 p.m., a group of seven men stabbed Ganesh, who works as a driver, at Avalahalli Main Road. He was shifted to a private hospital where he died hours later, said the Hanumanthnagar police.

The genesis of the violent fight was at a celebration of Ganesh Chathurti in the area. According to the police, Ganesh got into an argument with Pritvi and a minor scuffle broke out there. However, angered by this, Pritvi and his friends later confronted Ganesh and slashed him across his torso and limbs.

Hanumanthnagar police are investigating and are on the lookout for the suspects.
