When Conor McGregor challenged Floyd Mayweather for a bout at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with thousands in attendance and many more watching at home, he would have gone in thinking of two things: to take home, quite possibly, the biggest payday in boxing and second would be to end Mayweather’s 49-0 record. And after two rounds, he would have continued to think the same but then the unbeaten Mayweather started to get into the groove of things. By the tenth round, Mayweather had McGregor reeling back with numerous blows and out in a technical knockout. He immediately announced retirement after the bout.
