Kochi chapter of FRNV launched

Mischievous elements and politicians must be kept away from educational institutions since they are creating chaos and endangering the future of students, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s Principal Advisor E. Sreedharan has said.

“They create indiscipline and even burn the chair or effigy of principals who try to usher in discipline and academic excellence,” he said, while speaking here on Saturday at the launch of the Kochi Chapter of Foundation for Restoration of National Values (FRNV), of which he is the president.

Such unwarranted political interference was being done under the garb of democracy, striking at the roots of value-based education. Value-based education must begin from the school-level, to wipe out corruption and poverty, added Mr. Sreedharan added.

“Under this circumstance, we must cry for our kids and opt for legal routes to keep mischievous elements at bay. Most politicians owe allegiance to their party and not to the country.”

Change in attitude

The primary aim of the FRNV is to influence policy makers and bring about an attitudinal change so that the taxpayers’ money is well-spent. “While working along with governments, we also take the legal recourse to bring about qualitative change in people’s life.” Task forces will be set up to usher in value-based education, improve life in urban areas by contributing to Smart Cities Mission and help improve law and order.

Mr. Sreedharan welcomed people from different facets of life to become friends and members of the organisation.
